HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 146-2015 RESOLUTION NO. 146-2015 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF$3,500 IN GRANT FUNDING FROM PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY TO INSTALL A SHADE STRUCTURE AT CENTENNIAL WAY DOG PARK AND AMENDING THE PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT 2015/16 OPERATING BUDGET. WHEREAS,the Parks and Recreation Department constructed and operates Centennial Way Dog Park to provide an area for dogs to socialize and exercise off-leash; and WHEREAS, Centennial Way Dog Park is extremely popular and heavily utilized by thousands of residents and pets each year; and WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation was awarded a grant from Pacific Gas and Electric Company(PG&E)in the amount of$3,500 to fund the installation of a shade structure at Centennial Way Dog Park; and WHEREAS, staff recommends the acceptance of$3,500 in grant funding from PG&E and amending the 2015/16 operating budget of the Parks and Recreation Department. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby accepts$3,500 in grant funding from PG&E and amends the Parks and Recreation Department's 2015/16 operating budget in order to reflect an increase of $3,500. * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 9th day of December, 2015 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Karyl Matsumoto, Richard A.
