Penna ---Robert Yee MINUTES City Council ~ Municipal Services Building Community Room December 27, 1996 SPECIAL MEETING CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO December 27, 1996 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 54956 of the Government Code of the State of California, that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco will hold a Special M~ting on Friday, the 27th day of December, at 9:00 a.m. in the City Council Conference Room, 400 Grand Avenue, South San Francisco, California. Purpose of the meeting: Adoption of resolution ratifying the Fire Fighters memorandum of understanding. A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS, LOCAL 1507, AFL-CIO, FOR THE PERIOD JULY 1, 1995 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1998 2. Council Present: Mullin, Penna, Yee and Fernekes. Council Absent: None. Interim Personnel Director Lee related: the previ- ous MOU was for the period of 7/1/91 through 6/30/94 and was extended to 1/95 by mutual agree- ment; there have been on-going negotiations and this MOU is from 7/1/95 through 6/30/98; the wages, effective 2/10/97, shall be increased by 2% for the period of 7/1/95 through 6/30/96, and by an 12/27/96 Page 1 AGENDA ACTION TAKEN Resolution - Continued. FIGHTERS, LOCAL 1507, AFL-CIO, FOR THE PERIOD JULY 1, 1995 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1998 2. Adjournment. ADJOURNMENT: additional 4% for the period 7/1/96 through 6/30/97 and increased by 2% effective 7/1/97; etc. M/S Yee/Mullin - To adopt the Resolution. RESOLUTION NO. 196-96 Carried by unanimous voice vote. Councilman Yee stated both sides spent a lot of time, the Subcommittee and the Firefighters, on these negotiations. Firefighter Tony Rivera thanked the Council on behalf of the firefighters. M/S Mullin/Yee - To adjourn the meeting. Carried by unanimous voice vote.
