RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FY 2016-17 POSITION BUDGET,
AUTHORIZING THE ADDITION OF A FINANCIAL SERVICES
MANAGER IN THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2016-17 adopted budget includes 13.6 Full Time Equivalent("FTE") staff
members in the Finance Department, including one Director of Finance and one Financial Services
Manager; and
WHEREAS, an additional Financial Services Manager will improve span of control,work flow and staff
development for the Finance Department; and
WHEREAS,the additional Financial Services Manager will address an organizational-wide need for
contract management, including monitoring all agreements,tracking insurance certificate compliance,
and making recommendations for issuing Request for Proposals.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco does
hereby amend the Fiscal Year 2016-17 Position Budget to add 1.0 FTE Financial Services Manager
classification in the Finance Department, with the total FTE for the Finance Department remaining at
13.6 FTE.
At a meeting of the City Council on 12/14/2016, a motion was made by Richard Garbarino, seconded by
Mark Addiego, that this Resolution be approved.The motion passed.

Councilmember Addiego
No: 1 Councilmember Matsumoto
