RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE SIGN HILL
GENERATOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT NO. PF1506.
WHEREAS, City of South San Francisco ("City") staff issued a Notice Inviting Bids for the Sign Hill
Generator Replacement Project No. pf1506 and on September 20, 2016 received three (3) bids in
response; and
WHEREAS, the low bid was approximately eighty(80) percent higher than the engineer's estimate; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 20166, a public entity retains the discretion to
reject all bids it receives on a given project; and
WHEREAS; the City has determined that it will need to appropriate additional funds in the future and
rebid the project in Fiscal Year 2017-2018.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that
the City Council hereby rejects all bids for the Sign Hill Generator Replacement Project.
At a meeting of the City Council on 12/14/2016, a motion was made by Liza Normandy, seconded by
Richard Garbarino, that this Resolution be approved.The motion passed.
