are hereby approved and the work therein provided is hereby
authorized, said plans and specifications are referred to
and 'by this reference made a part hereof the same as if re-
cited herein verbatim.

said City, a notice inv~ng sealed proposals or bids
the const~ction and installation of additional ~rina facilities
and referring to the plans and specifications on file in the
Office of the City Clerk, the first of which publication
shall be at least ten (lO) days prior to the time fixed for
opening bids. A copy of said notice entitled, "Notice to
Bidders", is attached hereto and referred to and by this
reference made a part hereof as if set forth verbatim herein.
AIl proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a
cashier's, or certified check payable to the order of the
City of South San Francisco, in an amount equal Co not less
than ten per cent (10%) of the bid flsure, or by a bond in
said amount dravn in hvor of said City and executed by a
corporate surety. Said check shall be forfeited by bidder,
or said bond shall become payable to said City fo case the
lowest responsible bidder (or bidders) depositi~t the same
does not, within the time sec forth in said plans and speei-
fications, enter into a contract with said City, tb~ ~aith~ul
performance of which shell be Suaran~eed by an undertaking in
the amount of one hundred per cent (100%) of the sum bid,

said undertaking being that of a corporate surety satisfac-
tory to said City Council, and which contract shall be
accompanied by a labor and materials bond of a corporate
surety, also in a sum equal to one hundred per cent (lO0~)
of the amount of said bid, as required by the provisions of
Title I, Division 5, Chapter 3, of the Government Code of
the State of California. In case of a forfeiture, as pro-
vided for in the preceding sentence, the defaulting bidder
shall be liable to said City for any additional expense to
which it may reasonably be put in connection with obtaining
full and complete performance of the particular work of
improvement with which this Notice to Bidders is concerned.
3. Bids will be received by the City of South
San Francisco, California~ at the Office of the City Manager
of said City, City}tall, Grand Avenue, South San Francisco,
California, at or before the hour of 8:00 P.M.

NOTIOE IS HEREBY ~lWgEN that sealed bids for the furmishing of materials
for, and the performance of, the public work hereinafter described will be
received by the City of South San Fraucisco, 0alifornia, at the office of the
City Clerk of said city, City Nall, Grand Avenue, South San Francisco,
California, at or before the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., on Monday, the 17th day
of September, 1962, said time being not less than ten (lC) drays from the first
publication of this notice. A~ bids will be publicly opened, examined, smd
declared at said time and place. Awar~ of contract will be made by the City
Council of said city to the lowest responsible bidder or bidders, within
thirty (30) days thereafter, subject, however, to the right of said City Council
to reject an~ a~d all bids, which right is hereby reserved.
The work hereinbefore referred to consists of the following:
1. Administration Building
2. Rest Ro~m Buildings
Platform
5. ~itary Sewer, including _manhole and lift stations.
Said work s~] ~ include the furnisb!~g and supplying of all necessary
labor and materials.
Ail bids shall be submitted on proposal forms supplied by the City.
Ail said work is to be done at the places and in the particular locations,
and in accordance with the forms, sizes, ~m~n~iOns, ~X~d materials aud to the
lines and grades, and in conformauce to the profiles, detailed drawings, aud
specifications therefor which have heretofore been approved and adopted by said
City ~ouncil and which are presently on file in the office of the City Clerk of
said city. Reference is hereby made to said plans, profiles, detailed draw-
Lugs, and specifications for further particulars, copies of which may be pro-
cured from John A. Blume & Associates, Engineers, 612 Howard Street, San Francisco,

NOTICE IS HEEEBY GIVEN tl~at the City Council of said City h~s hereto-
fore established the prevailing wage scale for per diem wages to be paid to all
craftsm~n and laborers in connection with the work to be done pursuant to said
plans and specifications, to which reference is hereby made for a ~ and
detailed description thereof.
