RESOLUTION N0. ~(~
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ENSINEER AND ATTORNEYS
MADRONE AVENUE
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco, California, that
WHEREAS, this Council has determined to undertake pro-
ceedings pursuant to appropriate assessment and assessment bond acts
for the construction and financing of public improvements in said
City;
WHEREAS, the public interest and general welfare will be
served by appointing and employing engineers and attorneys for the
preparation and conduct of said proceedings and work in connection
with said improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That Louis Ho Goss, Director of Public Works, South
San Francisco, California, be, and he is hereby, appointed as the
Engineer to do and perform all engineering work necessary in and
for said proceedings, including all preliminary surveying, prepara-
tion of report, plans, profiles, specifications, estimate of costs,
~iagram, assessment, setting grade stakes and inspection and super-
vision of work; that his compensation be, and it is hereby, fixed
at a reasonable engineering fee for all of said engineering, said
fee to be approved by the City Council of said City, and to be
~ssessed as an incidental expense of said proceedings.
2. That the law firms of John Noonan, South San Francisco,
~alifornia, and Kirkbride, Wilson, Harzfeld & Wallace, San Mateo,
.Dalifornia, be, and they are hereby, appointed and employed to do
mnd perform all legal services required in the conduct of said pro-
:eedings, including the preparation of all papers not required to
se prepared by the Director of Public Works, examining and approv-
ing the engineering documents and advising the Director of Public
!~orks in the preparation of his work, advising all City officials

on all matters relating thereto when called upon, and furnishing
their legal opinion on the validity of said proceedings and bonds,
and that their compensation be, and it is hereby~ fixed at 2% of
the~ construction cost, exclusive of incidentals, or $B50 minimum,
togethsr with reasonable fees for se~ices in acquiring easements
or in eminent domain or other suits, to be aBsessed as an inci-
dental expense of said proceedings.
