A VEHICLE PARKING DISTRICT
~je, the owners of more than twenty percent (20%)
of the total assessed value of the land next hereinafter
described, as shown b~ the last equalized assessment roll
of the County of San Nateo, State of California, hereby
petition the City Council of the City of South SEn Francisco
to form a vehicle parking district for the purpose of acquir-
ing, constructing, maintaining and operating parking lots for
the parking of motor vehicles.
The following is a general description of the exterior
boundaries of the proposed district;
All that certain tract or parcel of land situate in
the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State
of California,' and described as follows:
Commencing at a point which is the northwesterly corner
of Lot numbered one (1) in Block numbered one hundred fifteen
(llS), as shown upon that certain map entitled : "South San
Francisco, San Mateo Co. Cal. Plat ~o. l", which map was filed
in the office of the County Recorder of the County of San
Mateo, California, March l, 1892, and recorded in Map Book
No. 2 at page 52; thence from said point of beginning south-
erly along the westerly boundary line of said lot numbered
one (1) to the northerly boundary of Miller Avenue; thence
southeasterly to the southwesterly corner of the intersection
of M~ller Avenue with Maple Avenue; thence southerly along
~he westerly bound.~,ry line of ~aple Avenue to the north-
erly boundary line of Grand Avenue; thence westerly along
the northerly llne of Grand Avenue to the easterly line of
Walnut Avenue; thence southerly across Grand Avenue to the
point formed by the intersection of the southerly llne of
Grand Avenue with the westerly line of Lot numbered thirty-
one (31) in block numbered one hundred seventeen .(llT), as

Lane, said southerly bou~ary line being the northerly bound-
ary line of Lots numbered one (1) to ten (lO) inclusive, tn

boundary line of Baden Avenue to a point which is seventy-
five (75) feet easterly from the southwesterly corner of

forty-five (145), as shown upon said map; thence northerly
and parallel with the easterly boundary line of Cypress Avenue,
as shown upon said map, to the southerly line of Grand Avenue;
thence easterly along the southerly line of Grand Avenue to
the westerly line of Bayshore Highway; thence northerly across
Grand Avenue to the southeasterly corner of lot numbered one
(1) in block numbered one hundred forty-eight (148), as shown
upon said o~ap, and continuing northerly along the westerly
line of Bayshore Highway to the northeasterly corner of Lot
numbered two (2) in said block numbered one hundred forty-eight
(148); thence westerly along the northerly line of said lot

(148) a distance of seventy-six (76) feet; thence northerly and
parallel with the easterly line of Cypress Aven~e to the
southerly line of Eiller Avenue; thence easterly alon~ the

the northwest corner of the intersection of Bayshore Highway

erly line of lot numbered ten (10) in said block numbered one
hundred thirty-eight ~lZS) to the southerly line of Lux Avenue;

~he following is ~ general description of the land to
be acquired for p~rking places, which land is situate in
said City of South San Francisco, and described as follows:
All or any certain lots or parcels of land s~tuate in
the City of South San Francisco, County of San ~.~ateo, State
of ~alifornia, and described as follows:
Lot eleven (ll) in Block numbered one hundred twenty-six
~126) and East thirty (30) feet, front and 'rear measurements of
Lot twelve (12), all of Lots thirteen (13), fourteen (14),
fifteen (15), sixteen (16), and seventeen (17), in b~ock numbered
one hundred thirty-nine (139) and Lot five (5) and the east
one-half (1/2), fro~t and rear measurements, of Lot six (6) in
block numbered one hundred twenty four (124) and Lots nineteen
(19) and twenty (20) in block numbered one hundred forty (140),
as shown upon that certain map entitled: "S,~uth San Francisco,
San ~ateo Co. Cal. Plat No. 1", which map w~s recorded in the
office of the County RecordJ~r of the County of San ~ateo,
California, March l, 1892 in Nap Book No. 2 at page ~2.
The following is a ~eneral description of the improvements
proposed to be made or constructed within said district; grading

and the construction of an asphalt surface on all said land.
We request that proceedings of the formation of such
vehicle park~.ng district be taken under the provisions under
that certain act of the Legislature of the State of Cali-
fornia entitled: "An act to provide for the formation of
districts within municipalities for the acquisition, con-
struction,maintenance and operation of park~ng places,
garages and other improvements for the parking of motor
vehicles; the levy and collection of assessments upon property
in said districts; the issuance, sale and payment of bonds
s~cured by such assessments; the collection of rentals, fees
and charges for the use of such parking places, garages and
other improvements; the administration thereof; the levy of
taxes; and the powers and duties of cities relating thereto",
Chapter 971 of the Statutes of
~'e request that bonds issue under the above entitled act
and that such bonds be serial bonds with an even annual portion
thereof payable each year during the period of fifteen (15)
years from the date of their issuance and that the maximum
interest rate to be paid on such bonds shall be five (5) percent
per annum.
