A VEHICLE PA~KI~G DISTRICT
We, the owners of more than twenty percent (20~)
of the total assessed value of the land next hereinafter
described, as shown by the last equalized assessment roll
of the County of San ~teo, State of California, hereby
petition the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
to form a vehicle p~rking district for the purpose of ~cquir-
ing, constructing, maintaining ~nd operating parking lots for
the p~rking of motor vehicles.
The following is ~ general description of the exterior
boundaries of the Droposed district;
Ail that certain tract or parcel of l~nd situate in
the City of South San Francisco, County of San M.~teo, State
of California, and described as follows:
Commencing at a point which is the northwesterly corner
of lot numbered one (1) in block numbered one hundred fifteen
(115), as shown upon that certain map entitled: "South San
Francisco, S~n ~ateo Co. Cal. Pl~t No. 1", which map was filed
in ~he office of the County Recorder of the County of San
Mateo, C~liforni~, March 1, 1892, and recorded in ~[ap Book
No. 2 at page 52; thence from said point of beginning south-
erly along the westerly boundary line of said lot numbered
one (1) to the northerly boundary of ~iiller Avenue; thence
southeasterly to the southwesterly corner of the intersection
of Miller Avenue with Maple ~venue; thence southerly alon~

the westerly boundary line of Maple Avenue to the north-
erly boundary line of Grand Avenue; thence westerly alon~
the northerly line of Grand Avenue to the easterly line of
Walnut avenue; thence southerly across Grand ~venue to the
point formed by the intersection of the southerly line of
Grand Avenue with the westerly line of lot numbered thirty-
one (311 in block numbered one hundred seventeen (117), as
shown upon said map, to the southerly boundary line of Third
Lane, said southerly boundary line being the northerly bound-
ary line of lots numbered one (1) to ten (10) inclusive, in
said block numberea one hundred seventeen (117); thence east-
erly ~long the southerly boundary line of said Third Lane
to the northwesterly corner of lot numbered one (1) in said
block numbered one hundred seventeen (117); thence southerly
along the westerly boundary line of s~id lot numbered one (1)
to the northerly line of Baden Avenue; thence easterly along
the northerly line of Baden ~venue to the southeast corner
of lot numbered thirteen (13) in block numbered one Hundred
twenty-four (12~), as shown upon said map; thence northerly
along the e~sterly boundary line of s~id lot numbered thirteen~

feet; thence northerly and parallel to the easterly line of
Cypress Avenue to the southerly line of Lux Avenue; thence
westerly along the southerly line of Lux Avenue to the north-
west corner of lot numbered eighteen (18) in block numbered
one hundred thirty-eight (13~), as shown upon said map; thence
southerly along the westerly boundary line of said lot numbered
eighteen (18) to the southwesterly corner of said lot numbered
eighteen (18); thence westerly along the southerly line of
lots numbered seventeen (17) to eleven (11), inclusive, in said
block numbered one hundred thirty-eight (138) to the southeast-
erly corner of lot numbered ten (10) in said block numbered
one hundred thirty-eight (138); thence northerly along the east-
erly line of lot numbered ten (10) in said block numbered one
hundred thirty-eight (138) to the southerly line of Lux ~venue;
thence westerly along the southerly line of Lux Avenue, across
Linden Avenue to the northwesterly corner of lot numbered twenty-
six (26) in block numbered one hundred twenty-six {126), as

be acquired for parking places, which l~nd is situate.-~in
said Cit~ of South San Francisco, and described as follows:

County P~ecorder o~ the County of S=n Mateo, Calii~ornia, M~rch
1, 1892 in M~p Book No. 2 at page 52.
The following is a general description of the improvements ......
proposed to b~e m~de or constructed within s~id district; grading
and the construction oi' ~n asphalt surface on ~11 s~id land. ~
~e request that proceedings of the formation of such ~
vehicle parking district be taken under the provisions under
that certain act of the Legislature of the State of Cali-
forni~ entitled: "An act to provide for the formation of
districts within municip=lities for the ~cquisition, con-
struction, maintenance and operation of p~rking places,
garages and other improvements for' the parking of motor
vehicles; the levy and collection of assessments upon property
in s.~id districts; the issuance, sale and pa~m~ent of bonds
secured by such assess~aents; the collection of rentals, fees
and char~es for the use of such parking places, garages =nd
other improvements; the ~dministr~tion thereof; the levy of
taxes; and the powers and duties of cities relating thereto",
Chapter 971 of the Statutes of 19~3.
We request that bonds issue~ under the above entitled ~ct
and that such bonds be serial bonds with ~n even annual portion
thereof payable e~ch year during the period of fifteen (15)
yes, rs from the date of their issuance and th.~=t the maximum
interest rate to be p~id on such bonds shall be five (5) percent
per ~nnum.
