CONSENT CALENDAR
1. Motion to approve the minutes of the May 22, 2002 regular meeting
2. Motion to confirm expense claims of June 12, 2002 in the amount of $25,230.50
3. Resolution authorizing architectural services contract with Starkweather/Bondy for the
Gateway Childcare Facility in an amount not to exceed $297,000
Vice Chairman Gonzalez requested Item No. 3 be pulled from the Consent Calendar.
Motion-Femekes/Second-Green: To approve Consent Calendar Item Nos. 1 and 2.
Unanimously approved by voice vote.
Item No. 3: Staff report presented by Agency Assistant Director Van Duyn. He indicated the
childcare center is scheduled to open in 2003, it is anticipated that the facility will
accommodate people who work split shifts, and the YMCA operating agreemem will
come before the Agency for approval.
Motion-Gonzalez/Second-Green: To approve Resolution No. 01-2002, authorizing a
contract with Starkweather Bondy in an amount not to exceed $297,000 for architectural
services related to the Gateway Childcare Center. Unanimously approved by voice vote.

4. Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.8, real property negotiations related to 178
Airport Boulevard, negotiating party: Redevelopment Agency Assistant Director Van
Duyn
Time entered into Closed Session: 7:10 p.m.

given/no action taken.

by voice vote.
