Box 711 (City Hall, 4 - °,° Zj 400 Grand Avenue) o n F. y „ _ South San Francisco,CA o City Council `9LIFOR1`1P Resolution: RES 100-2017 File Number: 17-717 Enactment Number: RES 100-2017 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FILING OF A GRANT APPLICATION IN A TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $187,948 FROM THE DIVISION OF BOATING AND WATERWAYS BOATING INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE PRIVATE BATHROOMS AT OYSTER POINT MARINA. WHEREAS,the City of South San Francisco ("City")has ownership of Oyster Point Marina; and WHEREAS, the City desires to replace the private bathrooms at Oyster Point Marina for the recreational boaters to meet the needs of the boaters and to provide public access to these facilities; and WHEREAS, the Division of Boating and Waterways accepts applications for state grant funding to construct, renovate or maintain boating infrastructure facilities through its Boating Infrastructure Grant Program(Grant Program); and WHEREAS, initial estimates place the cost of replacing the restrooms at approximately$386,725; and WHEREAS, Grant Program project costs are estimated at$348,053; and WHEREAS,City Staff wishes to request and apply for Grant Program funding in the amount of$187,948; and WHEREAS, state law requires successful Grant Program applicants to provide a minimum of 25 percent of project costs. WHEREAS, the required local matching funds of $160,104 would be funded with Successor Agency funds allocated to Phase IC and IIC improvements at Oyster Point Marina. NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby authorizes the City Manager to prepare,sign,and submit a grant application to the Division of Boating and Waterways requesting $187,948 in Grant Program funding for a bathroom replacement project; upon award of the grant hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a grant agreement with California State Parks, Division of Boating and Waterways and any amendments to said grant agreement; and hereby authorizes the appropriation of$160,104 from the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco to fulfill the Grant Program match requirement.
