RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION
FOR DEPARTMENT OF RESOURCES RECYCLING AND
RECOVERY FUNDS ALLOCATED THROUGH THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA IN THEIR FISCAL YEAR 2017 -18 BUDGET IN THE
AMOUNT OF $16,471 TO SUPPORT BEVERAGE CONTAINER
RECYCLING PROGRAMS IN CITY PARKS, AND AUTHORIZING
THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO ADJUST THE CITY'S FISCAL
YEAR 2018 -19 REVENUE BUDGET UPON RECEIPT OF FUNDS
PURSUANT TO BUDGET AMENDMENT #18.024.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Resources Code sections 48000 et seq., 14581, and 42023.1(g), the
Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery ( "CalRecycle ") has established various payment
programs to make payments to qualifying jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, in furtherance of this authority CalRecycle is required to establish procedures governing the
administration of the payment programs; and
WHEREAS, CalRecycle's procedures for administering payment programs require, among other things,
an applicant's governing body to declare by resolution certain authorizations related to the
administration of the payment program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that
the City is authorized to submit an application to CalRecycle for any and all payment programs offered.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager, or his/her designee, is hereby authorized as
signature authority to execute all documents necessary to implement and secure payment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon the award of any CalRecycle funding, the City Council hereby
authorizes the Finance Director to adjust the City's Fiscal Year 2018 -19 revenue budget pursuant to
budget amendment # 18.024.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager, or his /her designee, is hereby authorized to take
any necessary actions consistent with the intent of this Resolution.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this authorization is effective until rescinded by the signature
authority or this governing body.
At a meeting of the City Council on 3/14/2018, a motion was made by Pradeep Gupta, seconded by Mark
Addiego, that this Resolution be adopted. The motion passed.
