RESOLUTION APPOINTING DIRECTORS TO THE POOLED
LIABILITY ASSURANCE NETWORK JOINT POWERS
AUTHORITY ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO.
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco was a charter member of ABAG PLAN Corporation since
1986; and
WHEREAS, ABAG PLAN served as the City's general liability risk pool, and provided risk mitigation
training services; and
WHEREAS, on December 13, 2017, the City Council adopted a resolution that approved creation of the
Pooled Liability Assurance Network Joint Powers Authority (PLAN JPA); and
WHEREAS, on January 20, 2018, the ABAG PLAN Board of Directors officially dissolved the ABAG
PLAN Corporation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco does
hereby designate the Director of Finance as the representative Director on the PLAN JPA Board of
Directors, and the Assistant City Manager as the Alternate.
At a meeting of the City Council on 7/11/2018, a motion was made by Mark Addiego, seconded by Pradeep
Gupta, that this Resolution be adopted. The motion passed.
