Box 711 (City Hall, • 400 Grand Avenue) South San Francisco, CA • City Council Resolution: RES 125 -2018 File Number: 18 -74 Enactment Number: RES 125 -2018 RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR THE FRANCISCO TERRACE STORM DRAIN PROJECT (PROJECT NO. SDI 701). WHEREAS, on July 5, 2018, the City of South San Francisco ( "City ") staff issued a Notice Inviting Bids for the Francisco Terrace Storm Drain Project, Project No. sd1701 and on July 23 24, 2018 received one (1) bid in response; and WHEREAS, the single bid received was substantially higher than the engineer's estimate and the project construction budget; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 20166, a public entity retains the discretion to reject all bids it receives on a given project and readvertise; and WHEREAS; the City has determined that it will need to review and revise the contract scope of work and then rebid the project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby rejects all bids for the Francisco Terrace Storm Drain Project and authorizes City staff to readvertise the Project. At a meeting of the City Council on 8/8/2018, a motion was made by Richard Garbarino, seconded by Mark Addiego, that this Resolution be approved. The motion passed.
