RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF $20,350 IN
SPONSORSHIPS FOR THE CONCERT IN THE PARK EVENT ON
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2018 AT ORANGE MEMORIAL
PARK, AND AMENDING THE PARKS AND RECREATION
DEPARTMENT'S FISCAL YEAR 2018 -19 OPERATING BUDGET
PURSUANT TO BUDGET AMENDMENT #19.017.
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco ( "City ") Parks and Recreation Department is organizing
the fourth annual Concert in the Park event on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Orange Memorial Park;
and
WHEREAS, eight sponsors, listed in Exhibit A, have committed to sponsoring the Concert in the Park
event for a total of $20,350 in donations; and
WHEREAS, receipt of these funds will offset some of the event costs and will allow staff to invest in
additional equipment and supplies that will be used for future events; and
WHEREAS, the foregoing donation will be used to amend the Fiscal Year 2018 -2019 Operating Budget
of the Parks and Recreation Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
hereby accepts $20,350 in sponsorships for the Concert in the Park event as listed in Exhibit A, and
amends the Parks and Recreation Department's Fiscal Year 2018 -19 Operating Budget pursuant to
budget amendment # 19.017.
At a meeting of the City Council on 9/12/2018, a motion was made by Pradeep Gupta, seconded by Mark
Addiego, that this Resolution be approved. The motion passed.
