RESOLUTION APPROVING TWO (2) ONE-YEAR.
EXTENSIONS OF A CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENT
WIT171 DYSERT ENVIRONMENTAL, INCFOR
ENVIRONMENTAL SAMPLING SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TOEXCEED $90,000 ANNUALLY FOR FISCAL YEARS
2019-2020 AND 2020-2021
WHEREAS, the South San Francisco - San. Bruno Water Quality Control Plant is regulated under
National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Services (NPDES) Permit No. R2-2014-0012, requiring
regular sampling of regulated industrial dischargers and Water Quality Control Plant process wastewater;
and
WHEREAS, the City of South San. Francisco distributed, a Request for Proposals for these services on
May 13, 2016; and
WHEREAS, the City received three (3) proposals in response; and
WHEREAS, on May 25-26, 2016, the City of South San Francisco Environmental Compliance and
Laboratory staff evaluated qualifications of proposals received; and
WHEREAS, the most qualified proposal received. for these services was submitted by Dysert
Envirom-nental, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, City Council. approved a consultant services agreement with Dysert Environmental, Inc. for
Fiscal Years (FY) 2016-201.7, 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 per Resolution 70-2016; and
WHEREAS, the City Council -approved consultant services agreement granted the City of South San
Francisco the exclusive option to extend the agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Request for Proposal granted the City of south San Francisco the exclusive option to
extend the agreement for two (2) one-year terms; and
WHEREAS, city staff recommends that the City Council approve two (2) one-year extensions of the
consultant services agreement with Dysert Environmental, Inc. for environmental sampling services in
an amount not to exceed $90,000 annually for FY 2019-2020 and 2020-2021.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco as
follows..,

The City Council approves a consultant services agreement with Dysert Environmental, Inc. for
environmental sampling services, in an amount not to exceed $90,000 annually for two years covering
FY 2019-2020 and 2020-2021.
The City Manager is authorized to execute the consultant services agreement with Dysert
Environmental, Inc., on behalf of the City, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
The City Manager is authorized to take any other actions consistent with the intent of this Resolution.
At a tneeting of the City Council. on 3/13/2019, a motion was made by Richard. Garbarino, seconded by
Buenaflor Nicolas, that this Resolution be approved.. The inotion passed.
