RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT
THE SAN MATEO COUNTY COMMUNITY RESILIENCE GRANT
IN THE AMOUNT OF $60,000 AND APPROVE BUDGET
AMENDMENT 19.044.
WHEREAS, the effects of sea level rise and flooding may put economic and social assets at risk; and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco ("City") has networked infrastructure including roads,
highways, and a wastewater treatment plant that may be at risk; and
WHEREAS, the creation of this tool will address the economic and social assets at risk from sea level
rise and inform the City's upcoming update of the General Plan; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South Francisco does
hereby authorize the City Manager to accept the San Mateo County Community Resilience Grant in the
amount of $60,000.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council does hereby approve Budget Amendment 19.044.
At a meeting of the City Council on 3/27/2019, a motion was made by Mark Nagales, seconded by Richard
Garbarino, that this Resolution be approved. The motion passed.
