An Ordinance ~mendin~ Sections ~ ~d ? of Ordinance No. 118
of the City of South $~ Franei~co entitled, "An Ordinance of the City
of South San Francisco creating the office of Building Inspector, Pres-
cribing His Duties and providing for the issuance of Building Permits.
The Board of Trustees of the City of South San ~'rancisco do
ordain as fo.~lows:
Section 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. ll8 of the City of
South San Francisco entitled, "An Ordinance of the City of South San
Francisco entitled, "An Ordinance of the City of South San ~'rancisco
creating the office of Building Inspector, Prescribing His Duties and
providing for the issuance of Building PerMits, is hereby t~mended to
read as follows:
Section 3. No person, firm or corporation st~ll erect a
building or structure of any kind, remodel or enlarge, ~dd to or extend
any building or structure already erected within the City of South San
Francisco without first obtaining a permit therefore. Where territory
within the fire limits as established by Ordinance No. 136 of said City
of South San Francisco, passed aud adopted on the 4th day of May, 192~,
is involved ~nd as specified in Section 7B of this ordins~nce, the per~it
shall be obtained from the Board of Trustees of the City of South S~n
Francisco. In all other cases the permit sha~l be obtained from the
Building Inspector.
Section 2. Section ~ of Ordinance Ito. ll8 of the City of South
San ~rancisco, as entitled in Section I of this 0rdin~uce is hereby amended
by adding two new sections known as Section ~A ~nd 7B, and which are
f~ 11 ows:
Section 7A. E.xcept that in ca;~e of inspection, construction,
reconstruction, alteration, or repairs herein provided for, it shall not
apply to factories, v&ich will be required to furnish the Bo~rd of Trustees
of the City of South San ~rancisco detailed drawings of all new structures,
which shall clearly set forth the safety of its design before permit shall
be issued~ on completion of work owner shall file with the Board of Trus-
tees or Building Inspector, a certified cody of architect's acceptance of
same, which shall clearly set forth the fact that buildings have been com-
pleted in accordance with plans filed.
Section 7B. Applications for factory permits sha~l be made to
the Board of Trustees of the City of South San Francisco and shall be ac-
companied vith estimated cost and a ~!~t fo~ ~£ ~1.00 per thousand, or
fraction thereof, of the said estimate of the constructions, reconstruc-
tions, alteration or repair herein provided for shall be paid to the City
Clerk.
Section Z. This Ordinance shall be published in the South San
Francisco Journal and South San ~rancisco News for one publication and be
in force and e~fect from and after the date of its passage.
Introduced the S&th day of April, 19~, and duly and regularly
passed the l~th day of June, !9E§, by the following vote:
