Box 711 (City Hall, 400 Grand Avenue) South San Francisco, CA City Council Resolution: RES 70-2019 File Number: 19-519 Enactment Number: RES 70-2019 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FISCAL YEAR 2019-20 MASTER FEE SCHEDULE. WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year (FY) 2016-17 Master Fee Schedule reflects a comprehensive update to the City's fees via a Cost Allocation Plan and fee study; and WHEREAS, best management practices recommend that the City complete a fee study every three to five years, and apply the change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the intervening years; and WHEREAS, the Bureau of Labor Statistics calculated the change in CPI for All Urban Consumers for the San Francisco - Oakland - Hayward area between February 2018 and February 2019 to be 3.5 percent, which has been applied to the FY 2018-19 Master Fee Schedule, attached hereto as Attachment 1; and WHEREAS, application of CPI provides a reasonable benchmark for the City to keep pace with the cost to provide the service associated with the fees listed in the Master Fee Schedule; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco does hereby approve the FY 2019-20 Master Fee Schedule, as set forth in Attachment 1, with an effective date of July 1, 2019. At a meeting of the City Council on 6/12/2019, a motion was made by Richard Garbarino, seconded by Buenaflor Nicolas, that this Resolution be approved. The motion passed.
