Motioned: Acosta
Seconded: Luster
Roll Call: Unanimous Approval.
5. Public Comments:
Tom Carney requested that the
Personnel Board set up a program
wherein they conduct exit
interviews of separating employees.
6. Member Comments:
Chair Luster responded to Tom
Carney’s comments asking he
submit a written proposal.

9. HR Activities Update:
A. LEAP Corner
B. HCM Systems Update
A. LEAP - Leah Lockhart
reported that the LEAP
Committee kicked off its
Leadership Academy this
week with 25 participants
representing all departments
except IT due to staffing.
Three sessions have been
held and five cross-
functional teams are
working on developing
programs for each of
Council’s initiatives.
B. HCM - Mich Mercado
reported that the HCM team
has rolled out the first phase
of Employee Self-Service
wherein employees now
have online access to pay
stubs and a pay calculator.
10. Continued Business:
A. Recruitment Diversity Chair Luster reported that she is on
the Diversity Steering Committee.
Mayor Matsumoto thanked the
board for their service on the
Personnel Board and said that
they’re working on expanding what
the Diversity Steering Committee is
doing.
11. Attendance Verification for Next
Meeting:
July 16, 2019 All will be present.
