AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIC)N B.12.010 ()F TI-IE S()U'rH
SAN FRANCISCO MIJNICIPAL CODE
WHEREAS, Chapter 12 of Title 3 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code, containing
listings of competitive and non-coInpetitive services positions, Inust periodically be updated as
positions are renaIned, reclassified, developed and/or deleted frOln cOlnpetitive and non-cOlnpetitive
servIces.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION 1.
1. CHAPTER 12.010 OF TITLE 3 OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL
CODE IS HEREBY AMENDED AS FOLLOWS:
SUBDIVISION (a)(5)
1. Change the position title of "Deputy Director of Maintenance Services" to
"Superintendent of Public Works."
2. Change the position title of "Maintenance Services Supervisor to "Public Works
Supervisor."
3. Add the position title of "Superintendent of Parks and Facilities Maintenance."
4. Add the position title of "Cultural Arts Specialist."
SECTION 2. SEVERABILITY
In the event any section or portion of this ordinance shall be detennined invalid or unconstitutional,
such section or portion shall be deeIned severable and all other sections or portions hereof shall
reInain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE
This Ordinance shall be published once, with the naInes of those City CouncilmeInbers voting for or
against it, in the San Mateo Times, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San
Francisco, as required by law, and shall becOlne effective thirty (30) days frOln and after its adoption.

the 22nd day of June 2005.
Adopted as an Ordinance of the City of South San Francisco at a regular Ineeting of the City
Council held the 13th day of July 2005, by the following vote:
