SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE OF
THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ADOPTING THE UN-
IFORM BUILDING CODE 1927 EDITION ADOPTED BY THE
PACIFIC COAST BUILDING OFFICIALS OONFERENCE AT
THE SIXTH ANNUAL ~EETING 00TOBER, 1927", ADOPTED
SEPTEMBER 17, 1928.
WHEREAS the Uniform Building Code 1935 Edition has been
printed as a code in book form and is known as "Uniform Building
Code 1935 Edition", which is the building code adopted by the
Pacific Coast Building Officials Conference at the 6th annual meet-
ing October, 1927, with Revisions and Additions Approved at the 12th
Annual Meeting August 1934;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco do ordain as follows:
Section 1. That certain building code known and designated
as "Uniform Building Code 1935 Edition' is hereby adopted for the
purpose of regulating the construction of buildings within said
City of South San Francisco, three t3) copies of said Uniform Building
Code having been filed for use and examination by the public in the
office of the City Clerk of~said City of South San Francisco.
Section 2. Strict compliance with the terms and provisions
of said Uniform Building Code is required in all building construction
work in said City of South San Francisco, to which work said Uniform
Building Code is applicable.
Section 3. Every person, firm or corporation who shall
violate any of the provisions of this ordinance or said Uniform
Building Code shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon con-
viction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding Three
Hundred Dollars ($300.00),or by imprisonment for a period not exceed-
lng three ~3) months, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 4. Ordinance No. 148 entitled, "An ordinance
of the City of S~outh San Francisco adopting the Uniform Building
Code 1927 Edition adopted by the Pacific Coast Building Officials Con-
ference at the sixth annual meeting October, 1927" passed and
adopted by th~ City Council of~the City of South San Francisco
on the l?th day of September, 1928, is hereby repealed.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be published once in
"The Enterprise and the South San Francisco Journal-, a weekly
newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in said
City of ~outh San Francisco and shall take effect and be in fc~ce
from and after the expiration of thirty ~30) days after its adoption.
