The city council of the City of South San Francisco do
ordain as follows:
Section 1. Section 8.0~ of o~inance ~o. 171 of the
City of South San Fr~cisco entitled ~An ordinance 2~ov~ ~.nm for
licensing of business, professions, trades, callings and occupations
in the City of South San Francisco~, adopted ~.~iay 7, 1934, is hereby
amended so that said section 8.03 shall, as amended, read as
follows:
Section 8.03. P~LER: 1. F00DS~FFS: Eve~f person,
conductinf~ the busi~ess of selli~g~and delivering any food for "~
h~ consumption directly to~ae consumer thereof, by means of
a regular system oF~ deliv~y wagons for the purpose of making
sales ~d ~elive~ies up,~n a fixed or other route within said City,
excepting the ~/endo~/~f fruits, vegetao_es or other foodstuffs

raised by hi~~ wit~n said City, shall pay an ~nual license as
follows. :
(a) F~i a vegetables $ 120.00
(b) ~e at[ poultry 120 00
(c) Fish 200.00
(d) Bakery products 200.00
(e) Grocery products 200.00
(f) Butter and e~'~oos 120.00
(~) ~ ~ S0.00
~neral. Every person conducting the business '",
peddling ~y goods, wares, merchandise, or other thing of value,
not othe~ise specifically licensed by this ordinance, shall pay
an annual license fee of $200.00.

Section 2. Section 8.04 of said ordinance No. 171 is
hereby mnended so that said section 8.04, as ar~lended, shall read
as follows:
Section 8.04. SOLICITORS. Every person conducting
the business of solicitor shall pay an annual license fee of
oo.oo.
Section 3. Section 8.05 of said ordinance 1.7o. 171 is
hereby amended so that said section 8.05 shall, as amended, read
as follows:
Section 8.05° STREET VE~fDOR: Ever~ ~erson conducting
the business of street vendor shall pay a license fee of ~,~10.00
per day. Such person shall first obtain a permit stating the
location where said business may be carried on before a license
shall be issued; provided no permit shall be issued for carrying
on said business within one thousand feet of the boundary lines
of any school yard, public park or -public playground.
Section 4. Section 8.20 of said ordinance ~{o. 171 is
hereby re:ended so that said section 8.20 shall, as amended, read
as follows:

Sectior, 5. A new section is hereby added to said
ordinance }~o. ltl, which new section is designated as section 8.14a
and shall read as follows:
Section 8.14a. Wherever in this ordinance a license fee
is fixed at a specific stma of money per day, that s~ma shall be
payable daily in advauce.
Sectlon 6. This ordinance shall be published once in
"The Enterprise", a weekly newspaper published and circulated in
the City of South San Francisco and shall take effect and be in
force on the ezpiration of thirty (30) days after its passage and
adoption.
Passed and adopted as an ordinance of the City of South
San Francisco at a regular meeting of the city council of the City
