RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION
FOR DEPARTMENT OF RESOURCES RECYCLING AND
RECOVERY FUNDS ALLOCATED THROUGH THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA IN THEIR FISCAL YEAR 2019-2020 BUDGET IN
THE AMOUNT OF $16,703 TO SUPPORT BEVERAGE
CONTAINER RECYCLING PROGRAMS IN CITY PARKS AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO ADJUST THE
CITY'S FISCAL YEAR 2019-2020 REVENUE BUDGET UPON
RECEIPT OF FUNDS PURSUANT TO BUDGET AMENDMENT
#20.036.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Resources Code sections 48000 et seq., 14581, and 42023.1(g), the
Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) has established various payment
programs to make payments to qualifying jurisdictions; and
WHEREAS, in furtherance of this authority CalRecycle is required to establish procedures governing the
administration of the payment programs; and
WHEREAS, CalRecycle's procedures for administering payment programs require, among other things,
an applicant's governing body to declare by resolution certain authorizations related to the
administration of the payment program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of South San Francisco is authorized to submit
an application to CalRecycle for any and all payment programs offered; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager, or his/her designee, is hereby authorized as
Signature Authority to execute all documents necessary to implement and secure payment; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this authorization is effective until rescinded by the Signature
Authority or this governing body.
At a meeting of the City Council on 2/26/2020, a motion was made by Vice Mayor Addiego, seconded by
Councilmember Nicolas, that this Resolution be approved. The motion passed.
