as follows:
Section t~Be~R of 0~di~ce No. 216 of the City of South
~an F~ancisco~ entitled "~ 0~dinance Of the City of South S~
F~anci~co C~eat~g ~d Establi~hi~ a Pe~so~el S~stem fo~ said
City~, adoDted ~cember 15, 19~l, is hereby amended to ~ead
as foll~s:
"Sec. 2. ~par~ment of Perso~el. There is hereby
created a department of perso~el which shall consist of
a board of review and a perso~el clerk. The members
of the City Co~cil s~ll ex-officio constitute the members
of the board of ~eview ~d t~ee of their members shall
constitute a quor~.~
Sec. 2. A new section is hereb2 added to said 0rdln~c~
n~bered and to ~ead as follows:
"Sec. Sa. Ordinance Not Prospective. The provisions
of Section 5 hereof shall apply to and include o~2 s~h
offices, positions and emplo~ents as were in existence
in the city on December 15, 19~1'
Sec. 3. T~s o~dinance shall be published once in "~e
Enterprise", a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published
and circulated in said City of South San Francisco, witch fifteen
(15) days after its passage and shall take effect and be in force
upon the expiration of t~rt2 (30) dais afte~ its adoption.
