The City Council of the City of South San Francisco do ordain as follows: Section 1. Ordinance No. 178 entitled "An Ordinance creating the office of Lieense Collector and defining his duties",~ adopted by the city council of the City of South San Francisco on the 16th day of January, 1935, is hereby repealed. Section 2. This ordinance shall be published once in "The Enterprise", a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in said city of South San Francisco, and shall take .:~,~ effect upon the expiration of thirty (30) days after adoption, provided that the people of the city of South San Francisco shall adopt, at the general municipal election to be held in said city on the llth day of April, 1944, an ordinance proposed by an initia- tive petition and entitled, "An ordinance amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. 51, entitled 'An ordinance fixing the salaries and compensation of the treasurer, clerk, marshal and recorder of the city of South San Francisco, and repealing Ordinance Number Eight of the City of South San Fraucisco, passed on the 14th day of December, 1908, entitled 'An ordinance fixing the salaries and compensation of treasurer, clerk, marshal and recorder of th'~'city o~ South San Francisco'"~ / Introduced this ~/J~ day of~ ~ ~ 19~.
