Present: Mr. A. Rocca, in the chair Messrs: E.P. Kauffmann, R. Zanetti, J. Bracco, Fred Lantze and J. G. Walker, The meeting was called order my Mr. Rocca. .A le~ter was read from Mr. J.e. Dist. . of South San unified Di strict the of school sites sed to be the Unified School D1 ct. 1- Buri-Buri 81 Six located El Camino Real & Del Monte AVenue. 2- Site located in Club Park Sub-Divisions com- lots':'3, 4, 5, ad j 1 and to the VVeE,t in the tract total of 6 acres. 3- C- Street site- Located on C. t between Industrial Vi and Ave, EtD.d extends to the Railroad. It includes all of block 14, all of D. St., and most of Block 13. This site will be for a school. It is of acres. A special Joint Meeting to City Hall, South San Francisco October 1, 1947 Cith Council, Planning Commission, and others, was held inTthe Ci Hall on Wednsday Oct. 1st 1947, at 7:30 P.M. Presint: Messrs: G. W. Holston, C. Elder, E. Cort~lsi, and S. Sani from the Oi ty Council. Messrs~ E.P. Kauffmann, F. Lantze, S.J. Wette, J. Bracco, E. Barrett end Mr. Peck from Estes's office: :Mr. L. Boualanzo, Mr. McKing, and a l'vIr. C. Herfferon of Brentwood were also present. In the absence of Mr. Rocca, Mr. E.P. Kaufmann acted as Chairrr~n, who called the meeting to order. A letter from the Department of Publiic Works was read regarding s.ystem of major streets in Southe San Francisco, was read, and the map of Messrs. Hahn &. Campbell Showing major streets in South San Francisco under the new zoning Ordinance was studied. After a full discussion it was the concensious of opinon that the streets as set forth in Messrs. Hahn &. Campbell's Map to be accepted. It was therefore regularly moved by ~~. Wette, seconded by Mr. Bracco and carried that the Planning Commission approve the map of Hahn &. G. \Valker Secty. City Hall, South San Francisco November 5, 1947 A regular meeting of the Planning Co~nission was held on Wednsaday at the City Hall Nov. 5, 1947, at 7:30 P.M. Present: Mr. A. Rocca in the Chair Messrs: R. Zanetti, F. Lautze, S.J. Welte, and J. Bretcco. Minutes The minutes of the meeting of Oct. 1, 1947, were read and approved. Proposed He-Zoning of certain areas on Grand Avenue requesj; of P. Accelli and others. After a study of a letter from Mr. Accelli and others regarding above and also a study of Map attached thereto, it was regular~7 moved by Mr. F. Lautze, seconded by Mr. Zanetti and carried unanrnously that this matter be held in abeyance (for further study) pending the passage and completion of the newly drafted Planning Ordinance by the city Council. New Zoning Ordinance- South S[m Francisco A letter was read from Messrs:Hahn, Canpbell and Associates to the Citj Council offering their services as Consultants or Advisors for the new Zoning Ordinance, at a fee of $75 or Proposal No. 1 with '0" " No.2 After serious consider~tion of this le tter, and also discussion wi th Mr. Campbell (who was present) it was regularly moved by A.J. Welte, seconded by J. Bracco, and carried unanimously that we recommed to the Oi ty Council, the aceeptaDoe of the proposal No.2 at $50 per month, as set forth in this letter of Dec. 30,1947. Used Box Shop South Linden Ave., South San Francisco A letter dated Jan .2,1948 from Cavellero Bro., 163 Wood St. S. F. to the City Council, was read in which they expressed a sesire to apply for a business permit covering premisses situated at a point cOlumencing 265.76 feet south of the Eagle Oil (formerly Baker) property on East side of South Linden Ave., s. st., the business to be that of a used Box Shop, entailing the repair of wooden boxes. After study, it was regular~y moved by Ed Barrett, seconded by S.J. Welte, and oarried unarrunously that we do not recommend the issuanoe of a permit for this busi- ness feeling that it is not iesirable on one of the principal streets of the City. Santa Cristo Society- South San Francisoo A letter dated Dec. 15, 1947 from Mr. F. A. Lewis, Box 161, S.S.F. Secty of the above Society asking for a permit to build a hall on land they have purchased at north end of South Se~ Francisco. After consideration Secty. was instructed to refer the matter back to the Society for more specific detail~d 1nfo~mation regard- ing the type of building proposed to be erected. Proposed alterations and additions to be made on the property of Mr. Olwer Cortesi at corner of Lux A'Ve and Bayshore Highway. A letter from Mr. Edward Cerruti, Architect, Oakland, to the City Council sub- mitting plan of perposed alterations and additions to the Oliver Cortesi property was read and'studied oarefully- end the planning Commission finds that it meets with the Zoning Ordinance requirements, and i. therefore reoommend the granting of permit for this work provided it meets with the South San Francisco Building Code. Tmmporary Location for building for Church Service - Lindenville Housing Project Letter from ~~. Donald P. Wertz to the City Council, regarding permission to erect a temporary building for the purposes of holding Church Services was read. After reading same the Secty. was instruc.ted to refer same back to the Ci ty Council and the building Inspector. The Planning Commission is not in favor of temporary buildings in that locality, and in Industrial Zones. Building in LindeR Ave. 250' west of Bay Shore A letter to the Oi ty Council from :Mr. H. L. Ingham inqiringabout a permi t for a building, structure as per sketch (aluminum oorrugated sheets(40'by 81'6n) to be built on speculation. After study it was regular~y moved by Ed Barrett, seoonded Fred L~tze and carried unamiously, that the Planning Commission sees no objection to this building, provided it complies with all building laws, that ocoupancy is as required by Zoning Ordinance-Planning Corr~ission does sugges that the build- ing be granted. Extension of Spruce Ave. S.rS. F. Mr. Martin , Sub-divider was present and outlinae suggestions for extensions {, of Spruce Ave., in conjunction with fill~be made by Guy. F. Atkinson Co. Thiswould require closing of Magnolia. Ave. at point disegnated on map. The Lmld and Improve- ment Co., Mr. Walrus and G. F. Atkinson Co. having got together on this project. The Planning Commission lends their approval e~d recomendation be the extension of Spruce Avenue, and the closing of Magnolia by providing the fresher details and \ arrangement can be made. :Mr. Kerr of Guy ~"I.
