PRESENT: SChaur, Bracco, Ringue, Maher, Lautze, Volante, Zanetti, City Eng- ineer Randlett, and Cnmsultant Larry Wise. ABSENT: Barrett. Minutes of August lOth.1949. approved as mailed. COMMUNICATIONS: Letter from W.W. Norton regarding zoning of his lots. CO~mJITTEE REPORTS: Bracco reported that the Road Committee had been asked by the City Council to meet with Walt Ryan about changing Bus Terminal on Grand Avenue. Committee will report. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Chairman declared the 2nd.Public Hearing open on the petition of L. Aiello to re-zone lots 13 & 14 Grand Ave Ext. from R-fT to R-3 Mr. Aiello appeared in support of his petition. The Commission ordered the matter referred to the Zonmng Committee to study and asked the Committee to study the whole Area with the possible recommendation for Zone changes. Chairman declared the hearing closed and the pet- ition laid over.. Use Permit for HoWard for an 8' fence at 115- Manor Drive. It was moved by Commission Lautze seconded by Come Maher to deny the appication. Motion carried$ Use Permit for B~lle Hillman for an 8' fence at l38-Rockwood Dr. it was moved by Com.Zanetti seconded by COID.Lautze to deny the application~ Motion carried. Use Permit for the E.B.Motel for a sign on the hill to the rear of Common's Garage it was moved by Com.Zanetti seconded by COIDeRingue to reJgornmend approva.l subject to the condition that only EeBeMotel Advertising appear on the sign. Motion carried.. NEW BUSINESS: Use permi t application of SeL.Bucklen, for a 6 w X 8ft Vvindbreak at 122- Carmari tas, it 'was moved by COID"Maher and seconded by Com. Lautze to deny the application. Motion carried. Chairman asked the Secretary to advise the people through the press that all construction must be vovered by permits before started. Meeting adjourned at lO.P.M. till special meeting of Sept.27the1949 . fI{J 1U' "..., I"''t, I'-y- ~ SPECIA~ MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 27th.1949.~ Chairman Schaur ppened the meeting by introducing all the Commissioner's to the ScholDl Board and Mr.Geddes of the State Highway Commission and Mr.Reed archi~ect for the School District and consultant LaaryWise. Chairman Schaur said the meeting was called to acquaint everybody with the Service Road going into the new High School property. The ScholDl Board professed ignorance to the fact that they were not awhere of this condition.. Mr. Geddes reported that also a new Road was made from El Camino Real into the High School, which the Highway Commission was forced to close. Mr.Wise advised the School Borad Mr",CheEry was contacted at the time the Master Plan was adopted that both he and Mr",Hahn told Mr.. Cherry of tfuis Service Road.. Mr. Reed asked if a sketch of this Service Road could be prepared by Mr. Randlejz"t showing the required lines and grade, Chairman Schaur said his re- quest would be carried out", The fact was brought out that all the other new schools buildings the archi- tect failed to obtain a Use Permit$ Meeting adjourned till next regular meeting October 12th*1949.
