HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 268-1947 ORDINANCE NO. ~ AN ORDINANCE MENDING ORDINANGE NO. 229 ENTITLED: ' '"'"" "aN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE USE OF TRAILERS OR CAMP CARS IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FR:~NCISCO", ADOPTED ON THE 19TH DaY OF JULY, 1943. The City CQuncil of the City of South San Francisco does ordain as follows: Section 1. Ordinance No. 229 of the City of South San Francisco entitled: "An ordinance regulating the use of trailers or camp cars in the City of South San Francisco" passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, on the 19th day of July, 1943, is hereby amended by adding two (2) new sections thereto, which sections shall be numbered and read as follows: Section 3b. The Chief of Police of said city, upon good cause shown to him, may permit a trailer to stand upon a lot of land of which the owner of such trailer is the owner or tenant for a period of time not exceeding thirty (30) days in any one calendar year. Section 3c. The Chief of Police of said city, upon good cause shown to him may pe~rmit a trailer brought into said city by any person, who may have come to said city as a bona fide visitor of a residenb of said city, to stand upon a lot of land, the owner of which land may have given ,consent in writing for such purpose, for a period of time not exceeding thirty (30) days in any one calendar year. The written consent of the owner of such land shall be. filed .with the chief of police at the time of the owner or custodian of such trailer may make application for a permit for the purpose provided in this section. Section 2. This ordinance shall be published once in "The Enterprise", a newspaper of general circulation in said City of SoUth San Francisco and shall t~ke effect ~nd be in force on the expiration of thirty (30) days after its passage. Introduced this ~ day of October, 19~7. Passed and adopted as an ordinance of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting of the City Council of the 19~7, by the following vote: Absent, COuncilmen Approved: Mayor of the City of South San Francisco A~est:
