The City Council of She City of South San Francisco
does ordain as follows:
Section 1. ~cti°n i of 0=din~ce No. 223 of the City
of South San Francisco' entit~d: "~ ordinance prohibiting the
discharge of rifles, revolvers or pistols in the City of South
S~ Francisco over or upon the waters of the~bay of S~ Fzamcisco",
adopted May 18, 1942, is hereby amended so that said section
shall, as ~ended, read as follows:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any
person to discharge ~y rifle, revolver, or pistol of
~y caliber whatever within the City of South S~ Francisco,
except in defense of' a person or persons, or property.
Section 2. There is hereby added a new section to said
0rdin~ce No. 223, which new section shall be numbered and read
as follows:
Section i a. The City Council of the City of
South San Francisco may gr~t permission for the location
of a pistol r~ge within said city, upon which pistol
range it may be lawful to discharge a revolver or pistol,
subject to such regulations as s'aid City Council may
establish.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be published once in
"~he ~terprise" a newspaper of general circulation, printed
~d Published in said City of South San Francisco ~d shall take
$/~/~ffect ~d be in force from ~d after the expiration ~ thirty
(30) days after its adoption.~

Passed and adopted as an ordinance of the City of
South San Fraz~ci~co at a regular meeting of the City Council
