ORDINANCE NO. 336 f~i I~
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AMENDING ORDINANCE
NO. 261, ADOPTED BY SAID CITY ON THE 2~TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 19~7,
AND ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR LICENSING OF BUSINESS,
PROFESSIONS, TRADES, CALLINGS AND OCCUPATIONS IN THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO".
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco does
ordain as follows:
Section 1. ARTICLE VI of that certain ordinance of the
City of South San Francisco adopted on the 24th day of February,
1947, which ordinance is entitled "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR
LICENSING OF BUSINESS, PROFESSIONS, TRADES, CALLINGS AND
OCCUPATIONS IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO~ is hereby
amended by adding thereto the following section:
Section 6.05. APPROVAL: Immediately upon the
filing of any application for a business license,
the license collector shall refer such application
to the Department of the Building Inspector, the
Department of Health, the Fire Department, and also
to the Police Department if the nature of the business
for which a license is sought is such as to involve a
possible law enforcement question. Examples of
businesses involving possible law enforcement
questions are pool rooms, card rooms, and establish-
ments where alcoholic beverages are dispensed.
Anything to the contrary herein stated notwithstanding,
no business license shall issue until the approval of
the aforementioned governmental departments is first
had and obtained.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be published once in
the SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ENTERPRISE-JOURNAL, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed and published in the City of South San
Francisco.

City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of South San
