J. Wittwer Planning Consultant Neal Martin Pledge of Allegiance APPROVAL OF MINUTES Motion-BertucellijSecond-Getz: To approve the minutes of July 30, 1981; Unanimously approved. GOOD AND WELFARE There was no audience participation. AGENDA ITEMS Homart Development Company, SA-81-74 A Tentative Subdivision Map to create nine parcels from approximately 94 acres of land located southerly of Oyster Point Boulevard, easterly of the Southern Pacific Railroad Right-of-Way, northerly of East Grand Avenue and westerly of the Cabot, Cabot and Forbes Industrial Park in the South San Francisco Gateway Redevelopment Project. August 20, 1981 Staff Report presented. Staff indicated that Special Condition No.2 and Condition No. III .7. of the City Engineer memorandum are no longer applicable. Staff also recommended that Condition No.1 of the Police Department be deleted and the following Special Condition added: 1110. The applicant shall stripe four (4) feet wide bicycle lanes adjacent to the easterly and westerly outside curb lines of Gateway Boulevard. An alternate bicycle lane route within the project could be provided subject to prior approval by the Planning Commission.1I -4386 - August 20, 1981 AGENDA ITEMS (continued) Homart Development Company, SA-81-74 (continued) Applicant Present: John Aguilar Homart Development Company 480 Industrial Way South San Francisco, California 94080 George Homoka Wilsey & Ham Engineers 1035 E. Hillsdale Blvd. Foster City, California Mr. Aguilar stated that he had reviewed the Staff Report and accepts all of the conditions with the exception of Condition No.1 in the Police Department Report. Mr. Homoka proposed that the outside four feet of the street improvements be used for both bicycle lane and and an emergency lane. Motion-Hoyer/Second Terry: To approve SA-81-74 based on the findings and subject to all conditions contained in the Staff Report with the deletion of Condition No.1 of the Police Department and the inclusion of Special Condition No. 10 as recommended by Staff. Unanimously approved. General Plan Update - Housing Element - GPA-81-16, Negative Declara_tionNo. 335 August 20, 1981 Staff Report presented. Neal Martin, Planning Consultant presented a summary of the Report. Motion-Getz/Second Hoyer: To approve GPA-81-16 and Negative Declaration No. 335 based on the findings contained in the Resolution. Unanimously approved. Items from Staff Staff reminded the Commission that Wednesday, August 26, 1981, was set by the Comm- ission for a joint public hearing with the County Planning Commission to consider a concept plan for the South Slope of San Bruno Mountain. The meeting will be held in the Municipal Services Building beginning at 7:00 p.m. Staff and Commission discussed the desirability of having a motel development on the west side of Airport Blvd. between Grand Avenue and the northerly City limits. Items From Commission Commissioner Hoyer requested that Staff inquire about the removal of the old wharf pilings near the US Steel development.
