The City Council of the City of South San Francisco does
ordain as follows:
Section 1. Said City Council does find frol the reports
of the Division of Highways, the Chief of Police, and the Director
of Public Works, which are on file in the office of the City Clerk,
that the prila facie speed liltt of fifty-five (55) liles per hour is
greater than is reasonable and safe on a portion of South Airport
Boulevard lying within said city and designated in the next section
hereof, and said City Council does deterline that a laxilu~ speed of
thirty-five (35) liles per hour is appropriate to facilitate the
orderly movelent of traffic and ts a reasonable and safe laxiltua
speed lilit.
Section 2. It is hereby ordered that the laXtlU~ speed
lilit on South Airport Boulevard frol the intersection thereof with
Airport Boulevard (Engineer's Station 0~00) and a point on said South
Airport Boulevard which is approxilately thirteen hundred (1300) feet
south of the center line of Colla Creek Bridge (Engineer's Station
23~00) shall be thirty-five (35) liles per hour. The Director of
Public Works is hereby instructed to cause the installation of
appropriate signs giving notice of such lax~lu~ speed lilit.
Section 3. Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall be de.led guilty of a Itsdeleanor, and upon con-
victton thereof, shall be punished by a fine not in excess of TWO
HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00), or by ilprison~ent for a period of
not lore than three (3) lonths, or by both such fine and ilprison-
ment.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be published once and
shall becoae effective thirty (30) days fro~ and after the date
of its adoption.
