File No. 509J ORDINANCE NO. 378 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO PLACE, THROW, OR DEPOSIT ANY WASTE IN THE STORM SEWERAGE SYSTEM OF THE~'~.~r~t, .1~?.,, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. The City Council of the City of South San Francisco does ordain as follows: Section 1. It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person or persons to place, throw, or deposit in the storm sewerage system of the City of South San Francisco any waste matter, refuse, garbage, ashes, rubbish, sewage, grass clippings, flower and shrubbery trimmings, any paper, metal, or wood objects, and any and all other kinds or types of waste, refuse, or other materials. Section 2. For the purpose of this Ordinance, the ex- pression "storm sewerage system" shall include, but shall not be limited to, all catch basins, street gutters, valley drains, under- ground storm drains, and all other kinds and types of storm drainage chan~els or facilities whatsoever. Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances of said City in conflict with this ordinance, to the extent of such conflict and no further, are hereby repealed. Section 4. Any person, persons, firm or corporation who or which shall violate this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), or by imprisonment for a period not exceeding thirty (30) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Section 5. This ordinance shall be published once as required by law, and shall take effect and be in force following the expiration of thirty (30) days from and after the date of its adoption.
