East of 101 Area Plan and Draft Environmental Impact Report
Review and comment of the Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR).
Steve Carlson, Senior Planner, introduced David Early, Principal in Charge, Brady and Associates,
the City's consultants. Mr. Early introduced Sheila Brady, President, and Bobette Dan, Planner.
Mr. Early gave a brief overview of the plan and EIR. He explained that the purpose of tonight's
meeting was to allow the public to comment on the DEIR. He further explained that all
comments reviewed whether in writing or given orally at tonight's meeting would be reviewed,
appropriate responses prepared and would be included in the Final Environmental Impact
Report. Mr. Early then stated that the purpose and definition of F.A.R. (floor area ratio). He
then gave a brief explanation on three issues; transportation, noise and infrastructure.

Chairman Warren, with the consensus of the Commission, stated that the public hearing will be
continued to August 19, 1993. She stated that the closing date for the DEIR comments will be
September 20, 1993.
Motion-Mantegani/Seconded-Lucchesi: To continue the public hearing on the Draft Environmental
Report to August 19, 1993. It was unanim.ously approved by voice vote.
Motion-Zellmer/Seconded-DeZordo: To adjourn the meeting to August 19, 1993 at 7:00 P.M.
It was unanimously approved by voice vote.
Chairman Warren adjourned the meeting at 8:30 P.M.
