HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 425-1958 ORDINANCE NO. 425 ORDINANCE PROVIDING THAT CEHTAIN CITY LANDS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO SHALL, FOR ALL PUI~POSES OF PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1, BE HELD~ USED AND TREATED IN ALL RESPECTS THE SAkE AS PARKING PLACES ACQUIRED WITH THE PROCEEDS OF BONDS TO BE ISSUED UNDER THE PROCEEDINGS FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1 BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco as follows: A. The City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, by its Resolution of Intention No. 2581, declare its intention to pass an ordinance providing that the following described City lands of the City of South San Francisco shall, for all purposes of said Parking District No. 1, be held, used and treated in all respects the same as parking places acquired with the proceeds of bonds issued under these proceedings. B. IT IS FURTHER ORDAINED that said Resolution of Intention No. 2581 was published February 6 and February 13 in the SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ENTERPRISE-JOURNAL, a newspaper of general circulation published and circu- lated in the City of South San Francisco. C. IT IS FURTHER ORDAINED that said Resolution of Intention No. 2581 fixed Monday, the 17th day of March, 1958, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., at the aeeting place of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, located in the City Hall, South San Francisco, California, as the time and place for hearing any objections to the passage of an ordinance providing that the following City lands shall, for all purposes of Parking District No. 1, be held, used and treated in all respects the same as parking places acquired with the proceeds of bonds to be issued under these proceedings. D. IT IS FURTHER ORDAINED that the City Clerk, not less than thirty (30) days prior to the date therein fixed for hearing, to wit, not less than thirty (30) days prior to March 17, 1958, mailed a copy of said Resolution of Intention No. 2581, postage thereon prepaid, to each person to whom real property in Parking District No. 1 is assessed, as shown on the last equalized assessment roll, as his address is shown upon the roll, and to each person, whether owner in fee or having a lien upon or legal or equitable interest in any real property within the District, whose name and address and a designation of the real property in which he is interested ia on file in the office of the City Clerk. E. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the following described City lands of the City of South San Francisco shall, for all purposes of said Parking District No. 1, be held, used and treated in all respects the same as parking places acquired with the proceeds of bonds issued under proceedings for the establish~ent of Parking District No. 1. The City lands involved are described as Parking Lots 6 and 7 in Res- olution of Intention No. 2581 of the City of South San F~ncisco, and are further specifically described as follows: Parking Lot 6: All of Lots 5 and 6 in Block 126 as delin- eated and set out on that certain map entitled "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co., Cal., Plat No. 1" which map was filed in the office of the County R®oorder of San Mateo County on March 1, 1892 in Book "B~ of Original Maps at page 6 and copied into Book 2 of Map~ at page 52. Parking Lot 7: All of Lots 12 and 13 in Block 126 as delin- eated and set out on that certain map entitled "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co., Cal., Plat No. 1', which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on March 1, 1892 in Book "B" of Original Maps at page 6 and copied into Book 2 of Maps at page 52. F. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco does hereby find and determine that said prop- erty hereinabove described is either being used for the purpose of public off-street parking or is not needed by the City of South San Francisco for any other purpose and is available for such use. Go BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that no compensation shall be paid to the City of South San Francisco for such City lands hereinabove described. The above and foregoing ordinance was read and introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, held on Monday, the 17th day of March, 1958. - 2 - PaaSed and adopted as an ordinance of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting of the City Couna~l of the City of South San Francisco this 7th day of 'April 1958, by the following vote: ' AYES, Councilmen G.J.
