FRANCISCO 'REGULATING PARKING IN
CITY HALL PARKING LOT AN9 PRESCRIBING
PENALTIES FOR, VIOLATION THEP. EOF
The City Council of the City of S~uth San
Francisco does ordain '. as follows:
1. It shall be unlawful for any person, persons,
firm or corporation, except authorized City and County
officials, to park, or cause to be parked, any vehicle in the
parking stalls of area amrked for City and County officials in
the City Hall Parkiag Lot bordered generally by the City Hall,
Walnut Avenue, Miller Avenue and the South San Francisco
Police Station in the City of South San Francisco during the
hOurs of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, except for Saturdays,
Sundays and legal holidays.
2. It shall be unlawful for any person, persons,
firm or corporation to park, or cause to be parked, any Vehicle
in any area other than the stalls or areas marked for parking
by diagonal white lines in~ the City Hall Parking Lot bordered
generally by the City Hall, Walnut Avenue, Miller Avenue and
the South San Francisco. Police Station in the City of South
San Francisco during the h~U~s of 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily,
except for Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays.
3. Any person, persons, firm or corporation who
shall violate this ordinance shall be ~uilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not
to exceed T~ENTY-FIVE DOLLARS ($2.~.00), or by imprisonment not
to exceed thirty (30) days, or by both such fine and imprison-
4. The Police Department of the City of ~South San
Francisco is hereby authorized to place upon the City Hall
Parking Lot appropriate signs to give the public notice of
the provisions of this ordinance and the Chief of Police
shall cause the issuance of citations for illegal parking
to the owner or operator of any vehicle parked in violation
of the terms of this ordinance and said citation shall con-
tain the state vehicle license n-tuber of such vehicle, the
time and date of such illegal parking, and the make of such
vehicle. Any owner or operator of the vehicle to whom a
citation has been issued may within twenty-four (24) hours
of the time of the issuance of said citation pay to the
Clerk of the Municipal Court of the Northern Judicial District,
as a penalty for and in full satisfaction of said violation,
the sum of one dollar ($ 1.00 ).
The failure of such owner or operator to make said payment
in twenty-four'(24) hours shall render such owner or operator
subject to the penalties hereinbefore provided for violation
of the provisions of this ordinance.
5. This ordinance shall be published once as
required by law and shall take effect and be in force thirty
(30) days from and after its adoption.

Passed and adopted as an ordinance of the City of
South San Francisco at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco this 2nd day
of February 1959, by the following vote:
