HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 441-1959 K~: S: amf~9- 3- 59 15C · 17' ORDINANCE NO. 441 AN OKDINANCE OF INTENTION TO VACATE PORTION OF UTAH AVENUE INDUSTRIAL PARK UNIT NO. R-C ZONE 2 The Council of the City of South San Francisco, California, does ordain as follows: Sec. 1. This Ordinance is adopted pursuant to the Street Vacation Act of 1941. Sec. R. The public interest and convenience require, and it is the intention of this Council to vacate that portion of Utah Avenue lying east of Littlefield Avenue to the Subdivision boundary, as said street is shown on that certain map entitled "South San Francisco Industrial Park Unit No. 2-C", which map was recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of San Marco on February 25, 1959, in Book 50 of Maps, at Pages 31, 32 and 33. Sec. 3. Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 5th day of October, 1959, at 8:00 o'clock P.M. in the Council Chambers, City Hall, South San Francisco, California, are hereby fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested in, or having objections to, the proposed vacation of a portion of said Utah Avenue, may appear before said Council and be heard. Sec. 4. The City Clerk of said.City shall publish this ordinance once in a newspaper of general circulation, published within said City, in the manner prescribed by law for publishing ordinances for said City. Sec. 5. Notices of the vacation of the portion of said street shall be posted conspicuously along the line of the street proposed to be vacated at least ten (10) days before the date set for the hearing. Such notices sbmll be posted not more than 300 feet apart, but at least three shall be posted.~:~' "~~~~~ I, the undersigned, hereby ce~ify that the foregoing o~inance is a full, t~e and correct copy of Ordinance No. 441 of the City of South San Francisco, entitled as above; that it was adopted by the Council of said City on September 8 , 1959, by the following vote: AYES, and in favor thereof, Councilmen: Andrew Rocca, G. Ahern NOES, Councilmen: None ABSENT, Councilmen: None That it was published in the Enterprise Journal on the 17th day of September ,1959, and being an ordinance of intention adopted pursuant to the Street Vacation Act of 1941, it became effective immediately upon its adoption.
