HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 458-1961 ORDINANCE NO. 458 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 412 ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO REGULATING TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS AND THOROUGH- FARES OF SAID CITY AND ESTABLISHING TRUCK ROUTES". The City Council of the City of South San Francisco does ordain as follows: Section 1: Section 2 of Ordinance No. 412 en- titled, "SAME - STREETS COMPRISING TRUCK ROUTES ENUMERATED", is hereby amended so that said section, as amended, shall read as follows: Section 2. SAME - STREETS COMPRISING TRUCK ROUTES ENUMERATED In accordance with Section 1 of this ordinance, and when signs are erected giving notice thereof, the following streets, or portions of streets, are hereby declared to be truck traffic routes for the movement of vehicles exceeding a maximum gross weight of three (3) tons: 1) Airport Boulevard, between the southern city limits and the northern city limits. 2) Baden Avenue, from Airport Boulevard to Linden Avenue. 3) Linden Avenue, from Baden Avenue south to the southerly limits of the city. 4) South Canal Road, from South Linden Avenue to Spruce Avenue. 5) Railroad Avenue, from Linden Avenue to Orange Avenue. 6) Spruce Avenue, from Railroad Avenue to E1 Camino Real. 7) West Orange Avenue, from Railroad Avenue to E1 Camino Real. 8) Chestnut Avenue, from E1 Cmmino Real to Hillside Boulevard. 9) Mission Road, from Chestnut Avenue to the western city limits. 10) E1 Camino Real, from the southern city limits to the northern city limits. 11) Hickey Boulevard, from E1 Camino Real to Junipero Serra Boulevard. 12) Hillside Boulevard, from the westerly limits of the city to the intersection with Linden Avenue and then northeasterly on Linden Avenue to the intersection with Airport Boulevard. 13) Junipero Serra Boulevard, from the southern city limits to the northern city limits. 14) Victory Avenue, from South Linden Avenue to Spruce Avenue. 15) South Maple Avenue, from South Canal Road to Tan- foran Avenue. 16) Tanforan Av~ue, from South Maple Avenue to Dollar Avenue. 17) Dollar Avenue, from Tanforan Avenue to South Linden Avenue. 18) San Mateo Avenue, from Shaw Road to Airport Boulemrard. 19) Shaw Road, from San Mateo Avenue to the southern city limits. 20)i Dubuque Avenue, from East Grand Avenue to Butler Road. 21) Industrial Way, from East Grand Avenue to Butler Road. 22) Eccles Avenue, from East Grand Avenue to Butler Road. 23) Butler Road, from Airport Boulevard to City Beach. 24) East Grand Avenue, from Airport Boulevard to easterly limit at Fuller Paint Company. 25) Harbor Way, from East Grand Avenue to Little- field Road. 26) Utah Avenue, from South Airport Boulevard to North Littlefield Avenue. 27) Mitchell Avenue, from South Airport Boulevard to Harbor Way. 28) East Harris Avenue, from Harbor Way to Lawrence Avenue. me 29) Littlefield Avenue, from Utah Avenue to East Grand Avenue. 30) Lawrence Avenue, from East Harris Avenue to Littlefield Avenue. 31) Freeway Street, from Airport Boulevard to Bayshore Freeway. Section 2. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE The City Clerk of the City of South San Francisco is hereby directed to cause this ordinance to be published once, as required by law, and it shall take effect thirty (30) days following its adoption. Introduced this 16thday of January, 1961 . Passed and adopted as an ordinance of the City of adjourned South San Francisco at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco this 2Mrd day of January, 1961 , by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN Andrew Rocca, G.
