HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso RDA 05-2006 RESOLUTION NO. 05-2006 REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE FIRE STATION 61 TRAINING TOWER BUILDING PROJECT AND A CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT CONTRACT WHEREAS, staff recolnlnends that the Redeveloplnent Agency approve the award of a construction contract for the New Fire Station 61 Training Tower Building Project to the various lowest responsive bidders; and WHEREAS, staff recOlnlnends that the Redeveloplnent Agency approve the award of a construction managelnent contract for the Fire Station 61 Training Tower Building Projects with Pinnacle DB, Inc. in an aInount not to exceed $61,200; and WHEREAS, staff recOlnlnends the authorization to aInend the Capital lInprovelnent PrograIn budget for 2005-2006 in an amount not to exceed $1,480,300 for the Training Tower Building Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco hereby awards construction contracts for the cOlnpletion of construction work on the to the various bidders and construction lnanagelnent contract for the Fire Station 61 Training Tower Building Project in the aInounts and to the bidders specified below. Training Tower Building Project Earthwork Concrete Structural Steel Design, Manufacture and Erection $879,646.00 Add Alt. No.1 $96,778.00 Electrical Systeln $24,394.00 Fire Props $240,000.00 Propane System $20,000.00 Construction Cont. $50,360.00 $17,950.00 $89,960.00 Andreini Bros., Inc. Hazard Concrete Nielsen Building Systeln Nielson Building System Fire Facilities, Inc. Fire Facilities, Inc. Fire Facilities, Inc. Total $61,200.00 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the contracts on behalf of the City of South San Francisco, subject to approval as to fonn by the City Attorney. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff shall be authorized to aInend the Capital lInprovelnent Pro graIn budget for 2005-2006 in an aInount not to exceed $1,480,300 for the Training Tower Building Projects, and that the funding for the project will COlne frOln the proceeds of the sale of the Redeveloplnent Agency bonds. * * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the Redevelopment Agency of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 22nd day of March 2006 by the following vote: AYES: Boardlnelnbers Mark N.
