AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
AHENDINC ORDINANCE NO.~9 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO RECREATING AND
RE-ESTABLISHING A PERSONNEL SYSTEH FOR THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND REPEALING ORDINANCE
NO.216 AND ALL INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES"
BE IT ORDAINED by tb~ City Council of the City of South
San Francisco as follows:
Section 1. Amendment of Section 6 Competitive Service:
Section 6 of Ordinance No.~9 is hereby amended to read:
Section 6. Competitive Service:
A. The following positions and offices are in the com-
petitive service and the provisions o~ this Ordinance or amend-
ments thereto shall apply to them. The City Council may add
positions or offices to the competitive service by amending
this section by duly passing an Ordinance so providing:

Account Clerk

(2) Library:

(8) Planning Director or Ofiicer
(9) Casual, seasonal or emergency employees in any
o£[ice or department of the City, including,
but not li~.ited to, part-time crossing guards
and intermittently employed street depar~ent

(lO) Hourly or per diem employees
(11) Part-time employees
(12) Superintendent of Parks and Recreation

Council of the City of South San Francisco this 19th
day of February , 1962, by the following vote:
