HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 489-1963Harris Parcel - Country Club Park O INANCE NO. .89 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "HARVIS PARCEL - COUNTRY CLUB PARK" TO THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRAN- CISCO BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of South San Fran- cisco: WHEREAS, on the 18th day of February, 1963, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did pass and adopt Resolution No.3680 givin§ notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited ~erritory to the City of South San Francisco, said territory being therein desig- nated as "Harvis Parcel - Country Club Park", said Resolution describ- ing the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed, and, WHEREAS, said Resolution No.3650 did contain a notice of the day, hour and place when and where the Council of the City would hear pro- tests made by any person owning real property within the territory proposed to be annexed, the time of said hearing being not less than forty (40) nor more than sixty (60) days from the date of passage of said Resolution, and, WHEREAS, on the Let day of Aprll , 196__3, at the hour of 8:00 p.m. in the Council Qhambers in the City Hall of the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of Calif- ornia, said time and place being the day, hour and place fixed in said Resolution No.3680 for hearing protests to the said annexation, the said City Council did hear and pass upon all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that protests had not been made by the owners of one-half of the value of the privately owned territory proposed to be annexed as show~ by the last equalized assessment roll, nor by public owners of one-half of the value of the publicly owned territory proposed to be annexed as determined by said legislative body, ands WHE~S~ said territory is conti~uous to the City of South San Francisco and is uninhabited territory in the County of San Mateo~ State of California, ands WHEREAS, the owners of said territory have given and executed their written consent as provided by law that the property within the annexed territory shall upon anBexation be taxed and subject to tax- ation to pay any indebtedness or liability of the City of South San Francisco contracted prior to or existing at the time of annexation on the same basis as property is taxed throughout said City~ which written consent is presently on file with the City Clerk of the City. NOW, T~EI~EFORE, the City Council of the City of South San Fran- cisco does hereby approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described to the City of South San Francisco~ and does hereby further ordain tb~t the said territory be and is hereby annexed to the City of South San Francisco and is designated "Harris Parcel - Country Club Park", and 2. That said territory, the annexation of which to the City of South San Francisco is herein approved, is all that territory situate in the County of San Mateo, State of California, more par- ticularly described as follows: "Portion of Lot 4, Block Lettered "A", as desig- nated on the map entitled "TRACT N0.534, MAP NO.1 COUNTRY CLUB PARK SAN MATEO COUNTY CALIFORNIA", which map was filed in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on May 9, 1941, in Book 23 of Maps at pages 54, 55 and 56, more particularly des- cribed as follows: BEGINNING at the most easterly corner of said Lot 4; thence along the general northerly line of said Lot 4 South 58° 45' West 113.52 feet to an angle point there- in; thence leaving said general northerly line and cross- ing said Lot 4 South 31° 13' 45" East to the Southeasterly line of said Lot 4; thence along said Southeasterly line of said Lot 4 North 27° 49' 23" East to the point of beginning." The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this Ordinance and cause same to be published in the "Enterprise-Journal", a news- paper of general circulation, published and circulated in said City as required by law within fifteen (15) days after its passage.
