AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 319 ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE
PLUMBING CODE OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, CALIFORNIA,
REVISED MARCH 1, 1950, AS THE PLUMBING CODE OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO"; PROVIDING IN SAID AMENDMENT FOR
THE COLLECTION OF PLUMBING FEES AND GAS FEES IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE BUILDING PERMIT FEES: AND ESTABLISHING FEE
SCHEDULES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO does
ordain as follows:
SECTION I. AMENDMENT OF SECTION III OF ORDINANCE NO. 319:
Section III of Ordinance No. 319 is hereby amended to read.
3. Plumbing Permit fees; Gas Permit fees; Schedules and Times
of Collections·
(a) The Building Inspection Department shall, in con-
junction with the collection of the Building Permit fees at
the time of the issuance of the Building Permits, require the
payment of all Plumbing Permit fees and Gas Permit fees.
(b) Should the nature of the plumbing work not be
known at the time of the issuance of the Building Permit,
the minimum Permit fee may then be based on the valuation
of the proposed construction as set forth in the following
schedule entitled "PLUMBING PERMIT FEES SCHEDULE OF FLAT
RATES"; provided that prior to the Building' Inspector's making
of a final inspection, said Plumbing Permits shall be re-
vised by computing the Permit fees as set forth in Sub-
paragraph (c), hereinafter, and any additional Plumbing permit
fees so computed shall then be paid to the Building In-
spection Department by the Permittee. Plumbing Permit Fees
Schedule of Flat Rates.
Building Valu~ation Fee
For building valuation to and including
$1,000.00 .......................................... $ 5.00
For additional $1,000.00 or fraction thereof
to and including $25,000.00 ........................ 1.00
For all valuation exceeding $25,000.00 ............. 35.00
(c) Each applicant for a Plumbing or Gas Permit shall pay
to the Building Inspection Department for each Permit issued
and at the time of issuance, a fee in accordance with the follow-
ing schedule, and the rate provided for each classification
shown therein:
For each fixture ................................... $ 1.00

Owner's Permit 2 00
For sewer connection ............................... 2.00
SECTION II. REPEAL OF ORDINANCE NO. 389:
Ordinance No. 389 passed and adopted on the 19th day of March,
1956 is hereby repealed, except that this repeal shall not affect
or prevent the prosecution or punishment of any person for any act
done or committed in violation of any ordinance hereby repealed
prior to the effective date of this ordinance.
SECTION III. EFFECTIVE DATE AND PUBLICATION:
This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days
from and after the date of final passage and approval. The Clerk
shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause the
same to be published in the Enterprise Press as required by law.

Francisco at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco this 20th day of
July , 1964 , by the following vote:
