AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 353, AS AMENDED, ENTITLED
"ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRAN-
CISCO'' PASSED AND ADOPTED AUGUST 10, 1954, AND
ESTABLISHING ZONING DISTRICT CLASSIFICATION FOR
THE PROPERTY HEREIN DESCRIBED.
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco does
ordain as follows:
I. Amendment of Section 2.2 and ZoninR Map:
Subsection 2°2 of Ordinance No.353, as amended, entitled
"Zoning Ordinance of the City of South San Francisco", passed
and adopted August 10, 1954, and "Zoning Map of the City of South
San Francisco, California", dated March 1, 1961, adopted March 5,
1962, are hereby amended so that the property hereinafter described
in Section III shall be established as a Neighborhood Commerclal
District or C-1 District.
II. Delineation on Zoning Map:
The designation, location and boundary of the property
herein zoned and hereinafter more particularly described shall be
delineated upon the map entitled ".Zoning Map of the City of South
San Francisco, California", dated March 1, 1961, adopted March 5,
1962.
Ill. Establishment of Zoning Classification:
The following described property is hereby zoned and
established as a Neighborhood Commercial District or C-1 District.

BEGINNING at the intersection of the southeasterly line
of Chestnut Avenue, as said southeasterly line is described
in that certain Quit-claim Deed from California Water Service
Company to the City of South San Francisco, a municipal cor-
poration, dated March 29, 1949, and recorded April 13, 1949 in
Book 1648 of Official Records of San Marco County at page 61
(85325-H), with the easterly line of Mission Road; thence from
said point of beginning along said line of Chestnut Avenue
North 56° 47' 35" East 53.24 feet to the true point of begin-
ning of the lands to be described herein; thence from said
true point of beginning, conninuing along said southeasterly
line of Chestnut Avenue, North 56° 47' 35" East-277.25 feet;
thence North 43° 45' East 112.14 feet plus or minus to a point
on said line of Chestnut Avenue corresponding to the centerline
of the 50-foot wide drainage easement described in Parcel 2
of the Deed from California 'Water Service Company, 'a corpor-
ation, to the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corpor-
a'tion, dated August 12, 1935 and recorded March 9, 1936 in
Book 680 of Official Records of San Marco County at page 232
(75074-C); thence leaving said line of Chestnut Avenue along
said centerline of the drainage easement South 59° ~9~ 35" East
716.40 feet plus or minus to a~point which bears North 59° 39'
35" West 144.57 feet from the southeasterly line of the lands
described as Parcel 7 in the Deed from Pacific Water Company,
a corporation, to CalifOrnia Water Service Company, a corpor-
ation, dated February 1, 1931 and recorded July 17, 1931 in Book
528 of Official Records of San ¥~teo County at page 195
(88815-B); thence South 30° 20' 25" West 8.50 feet to a
point; thence northwesterly~ westerly and southwesterly on
the arc of a curve to the left~ tangent at the last mentioned
point to a line that bears North 59° 39' 35" West from said
fast'mentioned point, having a radius of 191.50 feet, a cent-
ral angle of~54° 39' 15'~., an arc distance of 182.67 feet;
thence tangent to the last mentioned curve South 65° 41' 10"
West 366.82 feet; thence'continuing along the last mentioned
line on the arc of a curve to the left a distance of 82 feet
plus or minus to a point which bears South 55° 59' 10" East
120 feet plus or minus from the southeasterly line of the lands
which can be described as Assessor's Parcel O14-3OO-O20; thence
from said point along a line, measured at Tight angles, south-
westerly from last mentioned line 80 feet plus or minus to a
point on the southwesterly line of the Southern Pacific Rail-
road Company right-of-way; thence along said southwesterly
line of said right-of-way in a northwesterly direction 360 feet
plus or minus to its intersection with the northeasterly line
of Mission Road; thence North 22° 33' West 58 feet plus or
minus; thence North 13° 15' 50" West 1OO feet plus or minus
to the said intersection of the said southeasterly line of
Chestnut Avenue; thence along said line of Chestnut Avenue
North 56° 47' 35" East 53.24 to the true point of BEGINNING.
IV. Publication and Effective Date:
This Ordinance shall be published once as required by
law and shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days from
and after its adoption.

City Council of the City of South San Francisco ghis
