AN ORDINANCE OF TH~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.353
ENTITLED "ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO" (P-C-M DISTRICT REGULATIONS)
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco does
ordain as follows:
I. AMENDMENT OF SECTION 4.44:
Section 4.44 o{ Ordinance No. 353 is hereby amended
to read:
4.44 Uses permitted subject to first procurinS a
Use Permit in each case and subject to the provisions
of Sections 4.41, 4.42 and 4.43:
(a) Retail stores and personal service establish-
merits and offices.
(b) Research laboratories.
(c) Signs appurtenant to any permitted use.
(d) Any outdoor sales or drive-in establishments
including gasoline service stations or similar
uses,
Said uses shall be free of nuisance factors, such as,
objectionable sights, sounds, and smells.
II. URGENCY MEASURE PURSUANT TO SECTION 65858 OF THE
GOVERNMEi~' CODE:
This interim ordinance is hereby declared to be an
urgency measure to protect public safety, health, and
welfare, and is passed in order to prohibit uses which

III. P~LICATION ~D EFFECTI~ DATE:
This ordinance s~ll be published once in the
Enterprise-J~rnal, a newspaper of general circulation
in the City of Sou=h San Francisco~ as required by Law,
and shall bec~ effecCive thirty (30) days ~rom and
after its adop~ion.
