AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
CONSENTING TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A PORTION OF
WESTBOROUGH BOULEVARD EXTENSION WITHIN THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AS A PART OF THE COUNTY
HIGHWAY SYSTEM OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco does
ordain as follows:
SECTION I. That within the corporate limits of the City
of South San Francisco is a portion of Westborough Boulevard
Extension described as follows:
"That portion of Westborough Boulevard Extension that
lies within the City limits of South San Francisco as
shown on the plat attached hereto as Exhibit "A",
which plat is incorporated herein and made a part
hereof."
SECTION II. That the Board of Supervisors of the County
of San Mateo has by Resolution declared said portion of West-
borough Boulevard Extension lying within the City of South Fran-
cisco to be a County Highway, pursuant to Section 1700 of Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION III. That pursuant to Section 1701 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California, the consent of
the governing body of the City involved, i.e., the City of
South San Francisco, is required prior to the effectiveness
of the establishment of such included portion of said City
street as part of the County Highway System; that the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco does hereby grant
its consent to the establishment of said portion of West-
borough Boulevard Extension as a part of the County Highway
System.
SECTION IV. That upon the taking effect of this Ordin-
ance, said portion of Westborough Boulevard Extension shall
become a County Highway with respect to its construction, main-
tenance, improvement and repair.
SECTION V. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an
urgency measure because the provisions thereof are related to
street improvement proceedings as provided for in Section
36937 of the Government Code of the State of California.
SECTION VI. This Ordinance shall become effective upon
passage thereof and shall be published once in the "Enterprise-
Journal", a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
South San Francisco.

Introduced and passed as an urgency ordinance at a regu-
lar meeting of the City Council of the City of South San Fran-
cisco this 5th day of July , 19 66 , by the
following votes:
AYES, COUNCILMEN Frank J. Bertucelli, Patrick E. Ahem, Emilio
Gortesi, Andrew Rocca and Guido J. Rozzi
