AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 449, AS AMENDED, ENTITLED
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
RECREATING AND RE-ESTABLISHING A PERSONNEL SYSTEM
FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO. 216 AND ALL INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES".
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I.. AMENDMENT OF ORDINANCE NO. 449 (SECTION 6)
CHANGING TITLES OF POSITIONS INTHE COMPETITIVE
SERVICE: ~
Subsection A(4) of Section 6 of Ordinance No. 449, entitled
"An Ordinance of the City of South San Francisco Recreating and
Re-Establishing a Personnel System for the City of South San
Francisco and Repealing Ordinance No. 216 and All Inconsistent
Ordinances", as amended, is hereby amended for the purpose of
changing the following titles of positions in the competitive
service:
Change the title of Assistant Building Inspector
to Building Inspector.
SECTION II.
AMENDMENT OF SUBSECTION A(4) OF SECTION 6,
ORDINANCE NO. ~49, AS AMENDED:
Subsection A(~) of Section 6 of Ordinance No.
amended, the title of which is set forth in Section I. above, is
hereby amended to read:

Assistant Public Works Engineer
Chief Building Inspector
Associate Engineer
Assistant Engineer
Building Inspector
Public Works Inspector
Junior Engineer
Engineering Aide

SECTION III. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE:
This Ordinance shall be published once in the "Enterprise-
Journal", a newspaper of general circulation published in the
City of South San FranCisco, as required by law and shall take
effect and be in force thirty (30) days after its adoption.

Passed and adopted as an ordinance of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting of the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco this 215t day of April ,
1969 , by the following vote:
