AN ORDINANCE OF THE CiTY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
CONSENTING TO THE ESTABLISP2v~NT OF A PROPOSED
APCEA OF WESTBOROUGH BOULEVARD WITHIN THE CiTY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AS A PART OF THE COUntY
HIGP~AY SYSTEM OF THE COUNTY OF SAN ~KTEO.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
DOES OP~AIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. That within the corporate limits of the City
of South San Francisco is the proposed area of Westborough
Boulevard described as follows'
"The proposed area of ~stborough Boulevard between
the State of California right-of-way westerly of Junipero
Serra Freeway and the centerline of Fleetwood Drive,
situate within the territory of the City of South
San Francisco, including those portions of the fol-
lowing side streets to a distance of 50' more or less
from Westborough Boulevard namely Gellert Boulevard,
Olympic Drive, Galway Place, Oakmont Drive, Callan
Boulevard and Fleetwood Drive"
as more particularly described in Exhibit ~ attached hereto,
entitled "Property To Be Declared a 'County Highway."
SECTION II. That the Board of Supervisors of the County
of San Mateo has by Resolution 25173, passed the 28th day of
May~ 1968, declared said proposed area of Westborough Boulevard
lying within the City of South San Francisco to b& a County
Highway, pursuant to Section 1700 of'Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California.
SECTION III. That pursuant to Section 1701 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, the
consent of the governing body of the City involved, i.e., the
City of South San Francisco, is required prior to the effective-
ness of the establishment of such included portion of said
City .street as part of the County Highway System; that the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco does hereby
grant its consent to the establishment of said proposed area
of Westborough Boulevard as a part of the County Highway System.
SECTION IV. That upon the taking effect of this 0rdinanee,
said proposed area of Westborough Boulevard shall become a
County Highway with respect to its construction, maintenance~
improvement and repair.
SECTION V. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an
urgency measure because the provisions thereof are related to
street improvement proceedings as provided for in Section
36937 of the Government Code of the State of California.
SECTION VI. This Ordinance shall become effective upon
passage thereof and shall be published once in the "Enterprise-
Journal", a newspaper of general circulation in the City of
South San Francisco.

Passed and adopted as an urgency ordinance of the City of
South San Francisco at a re~utar meeting of the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco this 21st day
of ADril , 19 69 , by the following vote:
