AN INTERIM ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO PROHIBITING USES WITHIN A
PORTION OF THE EXISTING M-2-H ZONE PURSUANT
TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 65858.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. USES PROHIBITED IN A PORTION OF THE M-2-H ZONE.
Section 3.81 of Ordinance 353, as amended, is hereby
further amended by adding thereto Section 3.85 which reads as
follows:
3.85 Uses Prohibited. Except as hereinafter provided in
Subsections (a) and (b), all uses are prohibited in
that portion of the M-2-H zone shown on Exhibit A
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
(a)Parking lots appurtenant to existing uses and
open space parking.
(b) Existing uses~ except that no such use shall be
enlarged or increased or be extended to occupy
a greater area than that occupied by such use
at the time of the adoption of this ordinance.
SECTION II. URGENCY MEASURE.
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an urgency measure
to protect public safety, health and welfare, and following is
a statement of the facts constituting such urgency.
All or parts of the M-2-H area shown on Exhibit A attached
hereto are subject to flooding or adversely affected by flooding
to the detriment of the public safety: health and welfare. The
legislative body, Planning Commission and City Planner intend
to study, within a reasonable times zoning proposals and
land-use regulations for the purpose of more specifically
identifying the areas subject to flooding and prescribing
land uses and conditions thereof which will protect 'the public
safety, health and welfare.
SECTION III. EFFECTIVE FOR NINETY DAYS.
This ordinance shall be of no further force and effect
ninety (90) days fPom and after the date of adoption hemeof
unless extended in accordance with Government Code Section
65858.
SECTION IV. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately
upon adoption thereof and shall be published once in the
"Enterprise-Journal," a newspaper of general circulation in
the City of South San Francisco~ as required by law.

San Francisco at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco this 8th day of
