AN ORDINANCE CREATING OFFICE OF DIRECTOR
OF FINANCE; DUTIES AND POWERS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. OFFICE CREATED.
The Office of Director of Finance is hereby created.
SECTION II. TRANSFER OF DUTIES.
The financial and accounting duties vested in the office of
the City Clerk are hereby transferred to the Director of Finance
pursuant to Government Code Section 40805.5.
SECTION III. DUTIES AND POWERS.
Financial and accounting duties include but are not limited
to:
a. Accounting Officer.
b. Responsibility for fiscal record keeping.
c. Responsibility for collections of all monies due
the City.
d. Responsibility for all purchasing functions.
e. Responsibility for preparing and administering annual
budget.
f. Any related duties or functions assigned by City
Council or CiTy Manager.
SECTION IV. PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This' Ordinance shall be published once in the Enterprise-
Journal, a newspaper of general circulation in the City of South
San Francisco~ as required by law~ and shall become effective
thirty (30) days from and after its adoption.

San Francisco at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco this 20th day of November

As Mayor of the City of South San Francisco, I do hereby
approve the foregoing Ordinance this 20th day of November
