AN INTERIM ORDINANCE PROHIBITING
CERTAIN USES WITHIN THE PARCEL
DESIGNATED "HOUSING AUTHORITY
PARCEL",ASSESSOR'S PARCEL 14-160-1
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. FINDINGS
The Council. finds that the parcel which is more
particularly hereinafter described and presently zoned R-1
single-family, residential district is the subject of study
by the Planning Commission of the City of South San Francisco
for the purpose of determining a new zoni. ng designa-tion
more consistent with the General Plan of the City of Sooth
San Francisco, and the purposes for which said parcel was
acquired and has been maintained.
SECTION II. USES PROHIBITED
All R-1 (single-family residential uses) 'and other
uses not consistent with the General Plan are hereby prohibited
on the parcel containing 8.259 acres more or less designated
"Housing Authority Parcel", same being Assess'or's parcel
14-160-1 in the City of South San Francisco, which parcel
is more particularly described on the plat attached hereto as
Exhibit A and by this reference incorporated herein, the
same as if set forth verbatim.
SECt.['ION III. USE PERMITS
Pending compIetion of-the study by the Planning
Commission and the determinati6n of a new zoning designation,
use permits may be granted in accordance with applicable
terms of the zoning ordinar~ces of the City of South San
Francisco l:or R-2 district planned unit developments.
SECTION IV. DECLARATION
The Council, in order to protect the public safety,
health and welfare, adopts this urgency ordinance as a~
interim ordinance prohibiting uses which may be in conflict
with zoning proposals presently under study by the Planr~ing
Department.
SECTION V. URGENCY MEASURE
This or.dinance is an urgency measure and shall take
effect immediately 'upon adoption.
SECTION VI. PUBLICATION
This ordinanc, e shall, be published once, as required
by law, in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of ge. neral
circulation pub]~.ished in the City of South San Francisco.
